About the Dressler
The George Dressler Memorial Championship was formerly the Pennsylvania
Amateur Public Links Championship, requiring status as a public facility golfer
for eligibility. The Pennsylvania Golf
Association opened the event to any amateur player in 2016 and saw immediate growth
in participation. Paul Garrison holds
the record with five titles spanning from 1954-77, as Sean Knapp currently
holds four titles from 2009-13, plus a senior division win in 2017.
