|The 1990ís saw the game of golf grow tremendously leaving most State and Regional Golf Associations with the task of adding new tournaments such as the Four-Ball.
In 1990, Hillcrest Country Club was the site for the inaugural Four-Ball Championship. Guy Costin and Tom Shallow of Philadelphia Country Club won by two shots over Sean Knapp and Jeff Schroeder of St. Jude Golf Club.

|The Four-Ball Championship is open to any male amateur golfer who is member of a club belonging to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an individual member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.|
|Selection of the field will be based on the lowest 80 combined indexes as of the close of entries. All indexes must be verified by the home club professional. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on the entry closing date. Entry fee for the Four-Ball is $290 per team, which must accompany the entry. |
|Players who have been accepted as participants in Pennsylvania Golf Association championships will receive event information concerning course assignment, practice rounds, pairings, and starting times approximately 10 days prior to the event. If you have not received your information seven days prior to the event, it is your responsibility to contact the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Information can also be found at www.pagolf.org.|
| Starting Times|
|The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry blanks will determine pairings and tee times. Contestants will be notified of starting times by mail. The "Official Time" will be maintained at the starting tee(s) only. Starters will not page players in advance of their starting time. Players should report to the tee one starting interval prior to their tee time. 1st round results will determine 2nd round pairings.|

|Carts are MANDATORY for this event at the request of the host club. Cart fee of $30/day/player will be collected during registration.|

|The team with the lowest gross score after 36 holes will be declared Four-Ball Champions and have their name engraved on the Mayorís Trophy. Additional prizes will be awarded to the top 5 places.|
|In the event of a tie for the Four-Ball Championship, there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play Wednesday afternoon. All other ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines.|

|Practice rounds available Tuesdays-Sundays after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 30th the club will currently be closed. To schedule a tee time, please call the golf shop at 610-944-7616 up to ten days in advance. |
Practice round fee: $26 includes cart, cart required. Payment options are Visa/MasterCard or Cash.
