Dear Pennsylvania Golfers,

It is an honor to serve a second year as the 106th President of the Pennsylvania Golf Association (PAGA). For 115 years, the PAGA has and will continue to host and contest this great Commonwealth’s State Golf Championships.

2023 was a busy and exciting year for the PAGA.  Not only did Pennsylvania players enjoy many great competitions and venues across the State, the Association had new leadership to continue its fine traditions of golf and competition in Pennsylvania.

I could not be more proud of our Executive Director, Jason Barkley. His dedication and professionalism provided Pennsylvania players with another year of fabulous golf, competition, and fun.

Looking ahead to 2024, I invite you to browse the PAGA website, especially the 2024 Championship schedule. Pennsylvania golfers will enjoy competition at some of the finest venues our State has to offer.

Some exciting news, I would like to share is the announcement that the PAGA has been awarded by the United State Golf Association  (USGA) THREE exemptions into THREE of the 2024 USGA Championships. The PAGA 2024 Men’s Amateur Champion, the PAGA 2024 Women’s Amateur Champion, and the PAGA 2024 Junior Girls Amateur Champion will receive an invitation to their respective 2024 U.S. Championships. The PAGA is so appreciative to receive these exemptions. We look forward to strong fields in these Championships and sending our State Champions to these National Championships.

Please note a portion of the 2024 entry process will open later this month, while the remaining entry system will open April 1st. I hope you will add Pennsylvania Golf Championships to your 2024 golf calendars.

I would be remiss in not thanking our host facilities, our faithful volunteers, our loyal players, and our generous sponsor Dick’s Sporting Goods for their unwavering and continued support of the Pennsylvania Golf Association.

We look forward to a 2024 season filled with exciting golf, competition, and camaraderie.

All the Best
