Harrisburg, Pa. - On the strength of a 1-under-par, 35 front nine, Andy Tompos of Lititz, Pa. held on to grab the Senior Amateur Public Links Championship at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course (par 72, 6465 yards).

Tompos's front nine was highlighted by an eagle on the 5^th hole (491 yard, par 5) and a birdie on the 8^th hole (200 yard, par 3).

Tompos enjoyed a three shot lead after 27 holes over Joel McFadden, Exton, PA. However a bogey on the 10^th hole (330 yard par 4), followed by a McFadden birdie on the 11^th hole (374 yard, par 4), the lead slipped to only one. Tompos would again push the lead to two shots with a birdie on the 12^th hole (501 yard, par 5) only to give it right back on the 13^th hole (403 yard par 4) with a bogey five.

A costly double bogey on the 15^th hole (165 yard, par 3) by Tompos resulted in a tie atop the leaderboard.

Tompos collected his composer to par the 16^th hole (525 yard, par 5) and the 17^th hole (177 yard, par 3), while McFadden played the two hole stretch in 1-over-par.

A clutch par on the last hole secured the victory for Andy Tompos.
