The Kahkwa Club’s Valentine elected
President of the Pennsylvania Golf Association
Dr. Randall L. Valentine of The Kahkwa Club and Laurel Valley GC has been named President of the Pennsylvania Golf Association, becoming the 88th person in the organization's storied 98-year history to hold the position.
Valentine, a Board Certified Specialist in the treatment of gum disease and a Diplomat for the American Board of Periodontology, replaces Mark A. Studer of Oakmont CC at the helm of the Association for the 2008 season.
With five years under his belt on the Association's Executive Committee, and 40 more as an avid golfer, Valentine hopes his experiences will help broaden the awareness of the Association across the state to golfers of all levels.
"I would like to help expand upon [the Pennsylvania Golf Association's] mission of providing golf competitions to the golfers of the state, both those of private clubs and of public courses," he said.
Aside from golf, Valentine is known for creating the concept of Enhanced and Super-Enhanced Non-Surgical Gum Treatments as well as developing Denisis; The Dental Specialists' Internet System used to provide patients with the most comprehensive information about their periodontal or dental implant needs.
Valentine, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (‘66 B.S., ‘70 D.M.D.) and former catcher on the Panthers' baseball team, currently resides in Erie, Pa., with his wife Amy.
