Story: Won 4 of the last 5 PAGA Senior Player of the Year awards
In my bag you would find:
With the exception of my Vokey 52° and 58° wedges and a Mike Bell putter, I play strictly TaylorMade. I use the TaylorMade R11 Driver, 3 & 5 Woods and the TaylorMade 21° Hybrid. I also have the TaylorMade Cavity Back Tour Preferred Irons.
How I would describe my typical shot type:
I like to play a straight ball flight with a slight draw finish.
The course I would play every-day of the week:
Of course it would be my home course, The Club at Nevillewood.
If I were in Pennsylvania I would play these courses:
I always love to play at Oakmont Country Club, Fox Chapel Country Club, Philadelphia Cricket Club, or Stonewall.
My off-season training consists of:
This off-season I have been working on my fundamentals. I am training at Robert Morris Island Sports Center in Caropolis, PA three to four days a week. The “bubble” is great during the winter. It allows me to hit full shots, and spend some time on the putting green and bunker. I have been trying to create a more consistent swing by working on my swing path with, Director of Instruction, Kevin Shields from The Club at Nevillewood.
This summer you can find me:
I plan on competing in a number of local events once the season begins. I will be playing in three of the bigger “senior am tour stops”, the National Senior Hall of Fame, The Society of Senior’s Hesler, and The Yeaman’s Hall Senior Invitational. I will also be trying to qualify for my third USGA Senior Amateur Championship appearance.
I plan to play in all the PAGA and WPGA senior events. I am looking forward to playing in the Senior Match Play, Senior Better-Ball, The Senior Amateur, and also The Art Wall Jr. Memorial tournaments.
My goal this summer is:
I want to continue to play solid golf and hope to win at least one event this season. It's a great accomplishment to win my fourth Senior Player of the Year award. I think I can still compete with these guys and I'm looking forward to another great schedule of golf at sixty-three years old.
